Artist statement:
When we observe we tend to look at the world around us from a standard vantage point, but shift that vantage point and we can see things differently. It’s about literally changing perspective.
I’ve tried to look at various subject matters through a slightly different lense, through zooming in at times, and zooming out. Or viewing from beneath, or from above. Shifting the way we view our surroundings. Choosing a different vantage point.
If we are not able to view the world in new or different ways, there will be no room for discovery or change, and no room for growth.
